Man, I can’t even believe we are at the end of our spring semester. We didn't even step a foot on campus together, but here we are. What a unique class sports and society was. We watch record-breaking news and history unfold together, and I am forever grateful for that. A class that focused on sports and culture actually ended up turning into a place of solitude and comfort for me. I was able to express myself about any topic on the table and discuss it as an adult. The many conversations about sports and its impacts on a community have inspired me to do more and be a better journalist and person than yesterday. It was such a joy to be in class with each classmate.

So I want to send a personal thank you to each of you for the love, support, wisdom I received from each individual.

First, of course, I have to start with the one and only Alan Abrahamson, a one-of-a-kind professor who dedicated his time to seeing his student succeed. Thank you for all the teaching, advice, and lessons I can take to my next level. You are a very inspiring guy, and despite what haters say, you have changed your students’ lives, and thats all that matters. Continue to uplift your students as I know you will.

Caleb Micheal- It has been an honor to see you grow into the man you are today. I remember meeting you back in 2019 during my grad visit to USC, and we have been friends since then. You have inspired and impacted my life in so many ways, and I can’t thank you enough. I cant wait to see you continue to grow at KDRV ABC 12 in Medford, Oregon.

Christine Kim- Christine, you are sweet as sugar. Your spirit is so beautiful and authentic. Thank you for picking me up when I was down, and inspire our class to be fearless. You will succeed in everything you touch.

Gabi Sorrentino- You are so strong and courageous. We saw firsthand how your life turn upside down due to your father’s health, and I know that was hard, but you always had a fight in you to keep going. You have a meaningful message that needs to spread to the world. You showed size truly doesn’t matter — it’s all about the heart.

Haleemon Anderson- You are a go getter sis! You are the epitome of a rock star. Studying in grad school at your age while having a family and seeking purpose and change is TRULY inspiring. Thank you for nurturing and being you at all times. NEVER STOP BEING YOU.

Johnny Dorcil- Johnny!! Thank you for pouring into me the wisdom and knowledge you have learned throughout your life. You are a hero in your community and don’t forget that. Your mom is so proud of you because you change the narrative of your life. Much success and prosperity will come your way.

Kira Dixon- WOW, what can I say about Kira. You are gentle like a baby but passionate like fire. Congratulations on all your success. I knew nothing about golf before I met you, but now I watch it just to see if you will be on TV. You are destined for greatness.

Lachelle Smith- My southern girl!! You are truly my sister from another mister. Thank you for taken me in even before I got to LA. You are one of my biggest inspirations, and don’t even know it, and I thank you for reminding me of home when I was homesick. You haven’t even seen the life laid out for you. Thank you, Lachelle.

Lauren Merola- LONG ISLAND BABAY! Thank you for showing me true passion. The passion you have for sports and storytelling is motivating and authentic. YOU WILL BE ON ESPN E-60 mark, my word girl.

Martin Weiss- Thank you for being you. You tough me how to be stern and confident when speaking. You are a true inspiration, and you are chosen for greater. All things will be added to you. Your personal brand will expand quickly, so don’t be surprised when you are on First Take or running your own podcast.

Maura Maheu- My Candian friend!!! Thank you for being honest, raw, and authentically you. Baseball hasn’t even seen the rock star you are developing into. Keep breaking the glass ceiling.

Mesha Mosley- Meshaaa, hey girl, thank you for being a representation of Black Girl Magic. You are about to kill it. Trust your talents and skills. Everything will come to you. Relax and take it day by day. Everything you touch will turn into gold.

Pranav lyer- Pranav, you are a ROCK STAR. Thank you for taking on such a heavy mission when it comes to representation within storytelling. You have a voice that WILL be heard. ESPN may be the beginning, but you will take over the world.

Tony Quach- TONY, I love saying your name, lol. Thank you for introducing me to Baseball and the technical aspect of it. I can’t wait to hear you announcing games. You are sooooo smart and chosen for a task that will move the sticks. Continue to press on, for you are chosen, Tony.

I am praying for each of you guys!! I know without a doubt in my head that all of you guys are going to succeed beyond measures, and I hope our paths cross again. Till then, Fight On my fellow Trojans and smile.
